I thought we were very gracious in defeat today.

I don't think it helped a handful of Marske fans running on the pitch at the final whistle. I do hope that if you are drawn at home in the next round the you have more stewards for the away fans safety.

Couldn't travel up due to last minute work commitments so can't comment on the match but really disappointed that we didn't get through today. It sounds like we were unlucky.

Hope that everyone who did go gets home safely despite certain small sections of our hosts deciding to act like idiots by all accounts. I'm sure that the regulars at Marske weren't best pleased by their actions. I know that I wouldn't be if it had happened at the Grove. To those Marske regulars, congratulations and I hope you get the draw you want.

Anyway, the run ends and the most important thing now is 3 more points on Tuesday against Gresley. Forget watching England that night, let's get a good crowd to help the boys bounce back.

Have to admit the pen decision was poor. Thought we were the better team today though and your keeper/defence played well. Gallery's finish for his 2nd was top drawer. Sorry can't comment on the end as I tan to the bar as soon as ref blew.... Good luck fir rest of season Yeltz...

Firstly, thanks to Hoppo for the lift and your company back and forth. Congratulations to Marske on their well deserved victory. I'm proud of the Halesowen crowd tonight who travelled such a long way to follow their team, and supported them brilliantly. Very gracious in defeat, sadly the same can't be said for the 'Friendliest fans in the North' or whatever they label themselves In their victory. Now it may be that the day trippers from Middlesbrough were the morons in the ground today and not genuine Marske followers but as an away fan my experience of Marske wasn't friendly at all. As for the 'league of gentleman' impersonators who ran on the pitch at the end to provoke OUR players when they were acknowledging US for making the journey north I think you're a disgrace. As was your Number 9 who felt the need to try and goad US instead of celebrate your win with your own part time supporters. Of course, the officials didn't see that. To add balance to the points I'm making, credit to the Marske goalkeeper at the end who came over, shook our hands and wished us a safe journey home. He was a credit to his club.
Before I'm accused of being a 'Southern Softie' I'll add I've followed Villa to places such as Millwall, West Ham and Chelsea so I'm no stranger to seeing trouble at football but today COULD have got nasty had there been any inkling from our lot to retaliate. Fortunately we were more gracious in defeat than you were in victory. Congratulations on winning the game, but as for being friendly...not in my experience.

Good, balanced comments AVFCY... You're right our keeper (Deano) is a top bloke, plus he pulled off a great save from Haseley at the death... I'll check with AJ(#9) what happened as he's also a great fella.
Emotions ran high today and we had a lot of extras. We're no saints but real daft stuff is just not Marske at all ....

I'll tell him mate. He won FA Vase last season with Spennymoor. Brilliant keeper, we're lucky to have him.
Good luck for rest of Season Yeltz...
