Re: Season tickets
Absolutely. I was critical of the club last season - this 'pick them up from behind the bar' just seemed so amateur and clunky. Particularly for those who don't drive or live near the club. So the club have done well here!old git wrote: ↑13 Jul 2025, 17:04Pretty sure we will operate a “hybrid” system of old and new next season to ease into digital. Very sensible IMHO as our friends down the A458 caused chaos when they just bought digital overnight as those Yeltz fans who walked away on that pre season friendly a few years ago will testify.YeltzBaggieNick wrote: ↑13 Jul 2025, 11:04Me being me being slow... Does this mean that now we have dragged ourselves, as a club, kicking and screaming into the digital age that there will ne no tickets sold at the turnstiles?

Re: Season tickets
Was that the one where if you didn’t have an online ticket you had to go into a queue for the ticket office to then rejoin the queue to actually get in thus missing the entertainment on the pitchold git wrote: ↑13 Jul 2025, 17:04Pretty sure we will operate a “hybrid” system of old and new next season to ease into digital. Putting my tin hat on - I'm delighted about the QR codes. Season ticket saved onto my Google Wallet.
It'll save me the embarrassment of contacting the club admitting I've drunkenly lost my season ticket, and requesting a replacement.

Re: Season tickets
In seriousness, I think it's superb that we're implementing online tickets. It shows the club is invested in moving forward, and getting the foundations in place for the higher levels, should we reach them. They may not have communicated it very well, but they've since addressed this - which is another positive. They're listening.
I'm all for a more professional approach that embraces technology, but that surely doesn't mean there can't be a place for cash sales. Are the club really going to put itself in a position where it turns down ticket sales from random ground hoppers who turn up on the day with £12 cash? I'd hope not.
I'd also hope there's always an option for long time fans who aren't tech savy, or simply not in a position to use tech, to be able to buy season tickets etc in person and with cash.
Embrace the modern world, but don't alienate loyal fans. There's a happy balance needed, which hopefully we'll reach.

Re: Season tickets
Totally agree Josh. (I'm deffo one of these)
Even if its just for this season and let people understand it during this season and do a full implementation( if needed) next season
