Season predictions 2025/26

Top 3 - on par
Title winners - above par
4th and below - below par

No pressure but with budget and expectation comes that said pressure

What do you expect?

Expectations for 2025-26:

Shed loads of cider, stand on the terraces chatting to people, miss loads of goals whilst in the queue to the bar / toilet / checking my bets, moan at useless referees, see lots of ‘new blokes’, be too hot (August), too cold (rest of season) and as Andy would say ‘Piss the league!’

Wondering why I've bothered to leave the pub to freeze my knackers off watching football. Not specific to Yeltz, but WBA too. Why do we bother? ;D

I'm quite surprised at your prediction. I think you thought a lot of us were expecting too much last year feeling we should get promoted. At the moment, until we see what other signings we make, I only feel play offs at best. Come August that may well change but at the moment we have lost too much quality IMO.

So many factors in play here; how good are the sides who came up? (surely Real Bedford (what a shitty name) will have cash and Bury won't be there to make up the numbers). Quorn annihilated the league below. Then there's the sides that came down... Then there's Hednesford with cash and ambition and added to that the usual suspects like Kettering, Stamford and Spalding. I hate to say it but I think we missed a great chance last season that I fear we may regret. Hate to bring up what has already come to pass but I think we were one point from promotion. I'll stick my neck out and say lower playoffs and that's with more hope than judgement but we'll see.

What I do confidently predict though are some great times supporting the club with my son and that's the main thing really - the rest looks after itself.

Agree with this assessment.
Harborough also I am sure will be throwing some cash at this season.
Going to be tough but I think expectation must be play offs at worst.

I think the other factor is that very few of us know anything about other clubs new signings etc. I dont think anyone predicted Bedford last year.

So where will we finish. I'll be happy with top ten but Id hope play offs. Depends who comes through the door in the next month or so.

I'm not sure Hednesford in our league?
