Decent game. Fair result. Unlikely to finish anything but 4th now IMO so probably off to Telford in the play offs. Shame we haven't got a reserve side to throw out at Stamford to keep everyone from any injuries or cautions now.
Yes it's very likely to be Telford away in the play-offs, but as there's still a chance of a home semi, I would expect all or most of the first choices to start at Stamford. They can always change things during the game if it becomes obvious that 3rd place is not possible.

Good game and nice occasion - great to see over 2000 in The Grove and I'm sure many first timers will have been converted.

Props to the players for putting in a shift just 48 hours after a trip to Leiston. Incredible levels of fitness at this time of the season.

Draw a fair result but a minor grumble that we seemed content on settling for a point, when realistically that was no use to us. I'd have gone all out for the last ten mins, stuck Cameron up top with KD, told Wynter to stay up, and thrown the kitchen sink to try and get home advantage for the semi final.

I did think this, but I do wonder if there's something in settling for a draw with Telford knowing it's likely they're going to be our play-off opponents and not giving them any psychological advantage from beating us.

I'm not sure it would have been any advantage if they'd have beaten us and we do end up playing eachother.

How's about we ran our feckin socks off yesterday and were knackered by 80 minutes and we had 24 hours less rest than they did (plus 5 hours each way on a coach). Don't let that get in the way of making things up though!

I don't think anyone has or is questioning the effort of the players. I think what Tim has suggested about throwing the kitchen sink at Telford would be a tactical decision from Penn rather than fitness of the squad. I do understand that viewpoint as we've got nothing to lose given we already have a play-off spot and we can't win the league.

Personally, I'm happy with the point and there's still a chance to gain home advantage on Saturday. Although, I think it's highly likely we'll be playing Telford away on the 30th April.
