I struggle to get my head around bitcoin, but funding the club on the back of cryptocurrency seems a bit dodgy to me. It's definitely something I'd expect a Steve Lynch or the unmentionables to practice!

Just want to let RP know that it really hurts when someone wins the title on your patch. Still can't forget Kettering lifting the trophy at ours in 2019, and I'm sure Platty can't either.
At that time our team was not good enough. We had only survived relegation the season before by finishing above bottom placed Sutton Coldfield with league structure changes only one team went down.

It was sad to be relegated but the club let Kettering enjoy their promotion which is what Belper did for us many years before when we won the league.
Belper went on to win the playoffs and join us at step 3.

I expect twists and turns over the next few weeks. Time will tell. But what a place to be in at the moment.

Definitely down to four teams now. Looking at the remaining fixtures, despite Kettering fans saying they haven't played well in ages, I can't see where they will drop a point. Aside from us Telford have a good run in also. Before today I could see us being in the mix on the last day but we seem to have three tough games at the end that we may need full points from. My heart still says we can do it but my mind is saying 3rd or 4th.

Agree Andy
Kettering's highest placed team still to play is currently 12th place.
If you add up positions of remaining fixtures so highest number is easiest theoretical run in it works as follows

Kettering 82
Bedford 62
Telford 56
Hales 53

Of course doesnt take into account home/away but realistically think its going to be play offs for us

This sums up my thoughts, too.

If I had to put money on I think it'd go on Bedford. Telford a very close second. Kettering are faltering and aren't in any sort of form at all - I think we'll see them fall away over the next couple of games.

As for us. I believe we can do it, we certainly have the manager and players to. But I'm just a miserable pessimist bugger and I refuse to build up hope just to have it stuffed out of me!

Plenty more twists to come. It's what football is about, so I'm just going to enjoy the tension, excitement and nerves. If I can.

I am also a miserable pessimist so can't see us grabbing top spot. Before the season started I said Kettering. Now it looks like they'll blow it. So maybe it's Telford! No, no maybe Bedford. Or us? It really is impossible to predict. Although yesterday on the face of it was a fantastic away point it seems to have properly dented pur hopes of a top finish. My main hope is that when we play Telford that there's a lot at stake.

Telford looking to get the job done early this Bank holiday Friday. 2 up against Lowestoft after 18 minutes. I kind of wish we had played today now. They can probably cruise now and have 3 days break to our 2 after a very long journey.
