I'll swap the 3 points I'm bound to get for the 1 we got tonight......
We played really well and should have scored 2 or 3. Kettering were made to look very ordinary by us.

Re: Kettering Updates
Excellent, hard working performance tonight. In the end both defences came out on top, but with just a little more rub of the green we'd have won that and deservedly so. Every little bounce or deflection round their box fell their way, but they did defend well to be fair. As did we as I don't recall Platty having to make a save. It summed it up when their fans were chanting "we've had a shot" on 85 minutes. I'd have taken a point at the start but in the end disappointed we didn't get all three. Great performance lads.

Re: Kettering Updates
Perhaps I’m crazily out of the loop, but the last two performances, plus a bit of cash freed up by releasing the Tanzanian Stan Jones, allowing a new grizzled lump / wunderkind to come in and bolster, have me full of the joys of Spring.
We won’t win it, but we most likely will finish in the play-offs. Then it’s in the madhouse.
Whilst we’ve largely struggled against the better sides, perhaps the tide is turning?
I’d expect Telford to do us, but the others? Spin of a coin.
And as for not being competitive should we work the oracle, why not?
There’s generally a massive close-season churn, and our budget wouldn’t be bottom four, so we’d be fine.
All that’s needed now is a tonking by Biggleswade on Saturday due to me upsetting the Gods…

Re: Kettering Updates
as an aside, they must have bought the old Bromsgrove-o-meter after they went bump, as the crowd was given as 996......... there were surely 500 more than that there.......... they interestingly also had buckets for donations on the car park. Though that was possibly more fair play than Nuneaton-esque but don't let that stop a rumour!

Glad someone else noticed the strange attendance figure thought there was probably around 1200 in my eyes…. hopefully that will be the last time we go there for a while and if we were to get promoted they don’t get promoted with us

Re: Kettering Updates
Good as the point was, we still haven't scored an away goal in 2025, and not from open play since the game at Barwell. We have taken 19 points from 15 away games. Stratford have 29 from 16 , Bedford 27 from 17 and Telford 24 from 16. We have visited all 4 teams above us, and last night's point is the 1st we have taken from them. In fact looking at the table we have not won away at anybody higher than 13th
