I don't think the 3 defeats put that many off, I think it's the standard Tuesday night crowds down added to January, lets see how many we get on 1st Feb against BS, And first of all let's just worry about Stratford, it's a tough place to go, I'd take a point right now.

Barwell at home November 2023, attendance 510 probably a fair comparison. Also don't forget last night's game was arranged with just a weeks notice.

Very flat atmosphere again tonight, crowd halved to under 600 for the second game running. It would appear the 3 defeats over Christmas has put off all the part timers. Even though we've gone top of the league! Fickle.

The atmosphere has been flat for a while now. I think part of that is due to a group of youths/adults acting like they're 18 behaving like idiots, frankly. I know of people who used to stand in the Shed, but have moved to other parts of the ground to avoid standing next to this group. I guess that's the downside of increased attendances.

From a personal point of view, I'm really happy with how the season is going. Penn is doing a brilliant job. But I can't help feel the excitement is missing. I can't put my finger on it.

Also, I'm all for having bants with opposition goalies but things have gotten pretty vicious recently. Can't blame them for turning round and mocking the crowd when they win.

I'm a season ticket holder and I must admit I was in two minds whether to go last night. Glad I did as we won but I couldn't blame anyone who stayed at home on a bitter cold night. It did set me wondering wouldn't it have been better to wait a few weeks for some nicer weather?

As I was going in I noticed some young lads were being turned away from the Stourbr*dge Road turnstiles. Presumably the ones who were throwing stuff on the pitch at the Stamford game? Full marks to the club and the turnstile operators for being on the ball with that one.

As far as the game was concerned I had a bit of a bad feeling about it even when we were 2-0 up early doors. Still a win is a win even if we did make unnecessarily hard work of it.

Agree with what has been said. Could see after 15 mins we would be hanging on in the end.
Manning was a revelation first half but second he and others couldnt get into the game.
Was impressed with Butterfield, first time Ive seen him, some good touches and gives us some well needed height.

MOM for me was Parker, ran himself into the ground and even when cramped up kept going.

Unfortunately the league rules after December are that postponed games must be played on the next available midweek free for both clubs.
Makes sense really as you only need another few Saturday postponements and the season would end in complete chaos
