I'm not saying I don't want to see us sign a striker. KD will no doubt find himself suspended before the end of the season ;D or if he gets injured, then what?

Look at what Ponticelli brought to us. It's been a long time since I've seen a single player make such a big difference. Before he came, and since he left I believe we've looked like a team that will challenge for the top 5, which is still a strong season. However, with him we looked capable of challenging for the title. I don't think that's realistic now, but my point is - that's the difference signing a very good player can make.

I've absolutely no idea what the conditions of his contract with Tamwuff are, or his personal circumstances etc, but given the lack of minutes he's getting I'd be going all out to get him back. If that was to happen, and it may be near impossible, I'd firmly believe we would have a real chance of automatic promotion.
Josh, that's what I've been trying to say. Put a good centre forward along side him and we'll be flying.
John, I'm not calling out for a striker as such, as you say KD's record speaks for itself, but he needs a guy up there with him. Before anyone mentions that Cameron has been brought in, personally I don't think he is that person.

I’m 100% sure that Russ and Makka are constantly on the look out but they are a rare beast. Alvechurch reportedly paying £900 a week for Sweeney !!! Now 5 years ago I would have jumped at him, but age has caught him up. So if that’s £900 a week what would a prime striker cost? If indeed there is one out there for this level

Another thing we have to factor in is that we are generally a long ball team. Platt and defenders more often than not hit direct balls and having a sole striker it makes it difficult for him. Admittedly we have good rotating support from our midfielders but personally, if we are going to play that way, I would much rather see a big centre forward alongside KD.

£900 a week. (A WEEK!?) for Sweeney is a joke. He's was decent about 6 years ago, or whenever he was with us, but he wasn't anything special. As for now?

I'm shocked someone would be so stupid to agree to pay that sum of money.
