Yep, I drove to Dover on that Thursday night. Felt like I had only just got home when I set out for Bashley!

Was petrol actually free back then? A couple of groat to fill the tank? We made so many South coast journeys every season but I don't remember it being an issue. I'd have to remortgage the house now.

Ironically Lowestoft will now have no fixture on November 2nd as they were due to face Harborough who will be in FA Cup
