We had an academy kid on the bench for a bit a few years back (Dan Whitehead?) but not for long. I don't know why people are moaning about it now there is someone though!

Re: Bedford Updates
just watched Penns' interview post Bedford. Quote" not an energy I expect on a Saturday afternoon, for whatever reason"
The reason is clear, you playersa you have signed do't cut it. SIGN SOME BETTER PLAYERS STARTING WITH A GOALSCORING BIG CENTRE FORWARD.

You do realise the centre forward scored, don't you? Do you genuinely believe three games is enough to judge how good the new signings are?

Re: Bedford Updates
I think the real issue for me will become apparent next Saturday.
Manning and Flanagan out so more than likely replaced by Cassidy and Yussuf
That gives us a bench of Boothe, Solly, Postle and
Quite obvious where the REAL problem lies.

Yep, you're right. We've got good players but we haven't got enough of them.

Agree, we shouldn't be needing to name a 40 year old goalkeeping coach as a sub As regards any other subs, Martin Riley is listed as a player, plus 2 others from the youth team, Fletcher and Wood

Yeltzbaby, I've been expecting you to appear
spouting your misguided drivel , Lets start with Smith, he had completely lost it when he first resigned, absurb team selections, like the one against Concord, a season we should and were winning the league until he cocked it up. He should never have been reappointed to replace Socket and Reynolds. Ah but he got us promoted I hear you say, so could any other manager. A total lack of tactics, and his falling out and arguing with good players and forcing them out of the club when leaving them on the bench whilst selecting inferior players , beggared belief . Yet you championed him which illustrated your lack of football knowledge and of the club. So on to Penn, I made it clear at the time that I did nt think he was the man for the job , on the back of a final run in which saw Harriers creep to promotion via the back door. He failed to do it in the top division of the National League.
I saw enough of his tactics last season to think they were negative. The fact that he only brought in one player Lissiemore , seemed to sow the seed . In close season , the players he has brought in were/are no better than the players he let go, and in cases inferior and to HAVE OR WANT to resign Booth is a joke. Of course I know Yousef scored yesterday but is another who is past his sell buy date and is never going to be a 20/25 goal a season man and does very little else.

Right...so the bloke who got us to the semi-final of the Trophy cocked it up and shouldn't have come back to the club to get us promoted?
And Russ Penn who has got a team out of a division higher than us isn't capable of managing in this division?
Miracle was a 20 goal a season striker but he wasn't good enough either was he?
We're three games into the season and you've written us off on the back of one, admittedly, dreadful performance. As someone else said, Needham Market won the league last season after losing their first game 6-1. It's a good job you don't support them, you'd have spontaneously combusted.
