Re: New signing.
Great topic of conversation. Loving the stats too.
In my extremely humble opinion, I would say the first list with the addition of Stefan Moore is the "cast iron" group. If these guys burst the offside trap, then you're already celebrating.
Dean Brennan was prolific towards the end of that one season, although things went understandably awry after that, and Montel showed signs of greatness for a short while but definitely drifted as the interest from pro clubs started forming. Christie supercharged his GTG ratio in that one cup game but was more of a foil for Ben10.
Was quite surprised to see Gregs ahead of some of these names in the table. In a subtle way, I'd liken him to Christie - definitely not your "break the line" striker. That said - if it lands to him in the box, you know he's going to bury it.

Re: New signing.
Surprised Eldon's name has not popped up yet. 12 goals in his half a season with us

Re: New signing.
I've actually enjoyed today's training more than yesterday, so I haven't trawled the sheet to the extent I'd have liked.
A couple though.
NOEL Orbell - in fact, discussed here
MICK Tuohy - Kiddy legend from their Holy Trinity who definitely sat on the bench a couple of times while he was assistant here. Ocker played a bit for us at the end too, if memory serves.
Is "? Mitchell" the lad who went on to play for Mansfield? I can't remember his name.
And I presume it's PADDY Page who was still occasionally turning out for us at full-back in 1980. The original "Three Shredded Wheat" man. Eat two and wear the other one on your head.

Re: New signing.
According to a cross-check on the database, Paul "Ocker" Davies never officially played for us. I could have sworn... Maybe just friendlies?
And, as an aside, to an aside, to an aside, the Kiddy front threes' numbers remain the only ones I've ever seen that could match the twins and Geoff.
Ocker's Kiddy numbers are - 656 games and 307 goals, and I suspect there's another 300 in Kim Casey and Mick.
Their 1985/86 stats are scarcely believable -
Games: 76
Goals For: 203
Goals Against: 114
Number of times Kiddy scored 4+ goals: 21
Biggest win: 10-1 v Chirk AAA (h)
Biggest defeat: 8-3 v Runcorn (a)
Top Scorers:
Kim Casey: 73 (not a typo)
Paul Davies: 44
Mick Tuohy: 22

That is phenomenal. The seventy six games harks back to the times when you played in about half a dozen regions Senior Cups. Barmy.

Also, I don't think Ocker played for us. I'm sure Chas will know.
