Re: New signing.
10 years ago earlier, yes. The match after his second goal, Nuneaton away, was one of the lowest points ever but not long after John Morris was appointed and we started to recover.

Re: New signing.
Yep, typo on the date making it somewhat more tricky…
He’d scored a ruck of goals at Stourbr*dge Town but, shall we say, never quite clicked with us…
I tried to find some info on his numbers at the cricket ground and details on who he played for before that, but the internet is a desert of StanJonesian data.
Does anyone know anything of his days before he came to us?

Re: New signing.
I think he was at Oldbury Utd who had a good mid 80s team. He could have played for them against us in the FA Cup when we beat them to reach Round1

Re: New signing.
From Nostalgia
The Yeltz played Oldbury at The Grove in the FA Cup 4th Qualifying Round. In front of 1.704 fans, goals from Richard Heath & Ian Sherwood (penalty) a replay was earned at York Road on the following Tuesday. The Yeltz lined up as shown in the programme for the home tie and again a massive crowd of 1,896 was packed in. Sherwood & Heath were again The Yeltz scorers and this time it was enough to see them proceed to the 1st Round Proper and a trip to Southend United.
"The great Steve Vowles playing for Oldbury!
And, as an aside, Yeltz v Oldbury in the FAC4Q!
Two local, low level sides at the last non-league stage" Doc's comment
Oldbury no 3 Keith Humphries also played for us

Re: New signing.
Thanks I have filled in the blank.
There are quite a few gaps on the database, I do have a separate sheet that I can share with people which lists all of those if anyone wants to try and fill some of them in.

Re: New signing.
I have a full day's online training tomorrow too.
This sounds like the absolutely perfect way to enliven it!
Can you put it online in an editable form?

Re: New signing.
Here is the link if anyone else wants to see which bits of information are missing
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/ ... sp=sharing
As I said it is uneditable but if you let me know the information I can put it on my master spreadsheet which will then filter though the other spreadsheets.
For a player to go from the list there needs to be a fullname, a date of birth and a picture
For the matches to disappear from the other 2 pages it needs either an attendance or a match report.
