Hmmm. I’d say we need a leader to go forward for more than the next 6 months.
Always easy, especially after a couple of wins, to promote from within, but I don’t think succession was in the plan before now.
Snapper’s back in the country, but again, a risk to get a legend to step up.
IMHO tried and tested is the way forward.

Don't love Carruthers. He only just managed to get Ilkeston to stumble over the line while making ridiculously expensive signings, then fluffed it when they went up and just blamed the ref every week.

Others I guess you'd consider:

Cam Stuart (small club mentality maybe, but clearly doing well)
Ivor Lawton (knows the club)
Ian Rowe (same as Stuart, maybe)
Bren Kelly (uncomfortable when you have former players essentially calling him a thief)

Sure there are plenty of others I'm neglecting to mention at this stage.

All of which brings me back to Craig Nicholls. Clearly has the backing of the current players (so means there will be consistency), knows the club, and is highly regarded. When you consider how difficult a mid-season rebuild is in non-league (all managers have players they want to bring with them), it seems the best route out of this division to me, though I accept others will disagree.

Excuse my ignorance but we seemed to have a 'committee' in charge yesterday in the dugout at least.
Craig Nicholls and Martin seemed the 2 main guys and Asa Charlton was there as well. He was out of my sight so not sure how much he was sending out onto the pitch.
Who though was the fourth guy, tracksuited up with a beard? ???

The other guy with the beard is Scott Mason

All I wanted to add is that there are a few truly dreadful recommendations in this thread. ;D Let’s hope Keith doesn’t come on here. ;)
