The right thing to do on many levels. Sadly the most disturbing one for me is after reading an awful lot of 'peoples' comments on social media. I simply would not want to be at events where these 'people' may be spouting their bile.

Im not a Royalist, but respect that she has devoted her life to our country. A priviledged person yes, but has been at the nations beck and call, as a totem for decades.

As for comments, again, its unsocialmedia. Unfortunately the phrase about not speaking ill of the dead has been lost in bitter, cynical snidey people, who's only understanding is there own self importance.

Thank you Queen Elizabeth.

And yet the Test match is resuming tomorrow, and Rugby Union is being played, and I expect the shops are open and the pubs.

Now taking place on Tuesday evening and the Boldmere away game will be played at a later date.

Feel sorry for Biggleswade, not an easy trip to make on a Tuesday night.

Indeed!

I'm a bit torn tbh. On one hand the whole mourning the Queen thing isnt my cup of tea but on the other I accept it is for a lot of people and they might find football distasteful at this time.

Fully agree, Andy.
I responded in kind to one particularly vile Tweet and was duly banned while the awful Tweet was allowed to remain.

Shocking. But unfortunately not surprising

The Queen lived a life of extraordinary privilege. She also sacrificed a lot of life that makes it worth it. Regardless of anyone's view of the monarchy, and I've got mine, she deserves respect for that.

That said, I just don't understand why tomorrow we can go to other sporting events, the cinema, the pub or just about anywhere else, but we can't go to watch football. Makes no sense at all as the mighty Husker Du (where are the metal umlauts?) once said.
