Re: Sporting Khalsa Updates
A positive Covid test stopped me from being there today with the worst symptom being the earache from having to listen to Black Country Radio.
However, it was greatly enlivened by a fine bit of commentary on the pitch invader at the end.

The Sony’s in the post.

I was in direct line with it and it looked to me like he got a hand to it.AwayDayYeltz wrote: ↑01 Jan 2022, 16:15Did Platt get a hand to that effort? I'm assuming you were closer than I. It looked like he did from the Shed!
Turning point for sure in the game

Pure comedy. Ferret running the entire length of the pitch after him with never a chance of catching him had to be admired. Hope it was captured on video like the Ada's dog episode, substitute “Ferret chases hound” for “Ferret chases dickhead”.YeltzDoc wrote: ↑01 Jan 2022, 17:04A positive Covid test stopped me from being there today with the worst symptom being the earache from having to listen to Black Country Radio.

It may have been, but Khalsa were generally average at best on the day. I reckon they only had one other decent effort in the whole game.Rich wrote: ↑01 Jan 2022, 17:21I was in direct line with it and it looked to me like he got a hand to it.AwayDayYeltz wrote: ↑01 Jan 2022, 16:15Did Platt get a hand to that effort? Smith had the team out early for the second half and whatever he said must have worked as apart from their early chance in the second half we were all over them.
We got behind their defence much better in the second half and were sharper all across the pitch. A few misses and their keeper stopped it from being a rout.

One of the dickhead’s now posting pictures on twitter. That said, Ferret’s pursuit is up there with him fronting up to that bell end opposition manager a couple of years ago.
Onto more prosaic matters, should have scored ten, Cobourne could have had six, but sod it, a hell of a lot happier than after the Shepshed match!

Re: Sporting Khalsa Updates
Others may tell differently but that is the most complete performance I've seen this season. If we stop missing sitters and play like that we could spank someone for ten. If Simmo could keep playing on the shoulder of the last defender and NOT get caught offside he would be an even bigger handful. But that said he never gives it up and will always get chances and score some goals. Defence once again solid, look totally different since Kelly's arrival. Dominated in midfield, Hawker rightly man of the match. Now we need to do it every week. Easy this football lark.
Magnificent!
