Re: SL crowds
The biggest problem with social distancing will arrive on the first cold Tuesday night when it is pouring down with rain! Will be hard to spread out in the shed then...

Re: SL crowds
100% agree with Karen's statement
it was just like sticking 2 fingers up to all who have done so much for the club over the past year, especially when asked to distance ove the tannoy and this getting mocked.
From where I was standing on the terracing it looked no different to last season in The Shed end.
Credit to all for the vocal support but this can be done and keep distance.

I expect we'll see some early draughtsman's drawings of "The Westwood Sedan Gazebo" (Patent Pending) shortly.

Re: SL crowds
True, but it was funny.
Let’s not lambast those who were mob handed in the shed though, football fans aren’t renowned for their sensible decision making at the best of times. The club have acted wisely and I suspect that people will take their medicine and move on.
I read a book some years ago (green it was) about the sociology of crowd behaviour not only at sports venues but also at demonstrations, concerts, in big queues and the suchlike.
The conclusion was that you tend to behave worse in crowds than you would ever do as an individual, with something between the loss of individuality, the fear of non-conformity and a sort of “getting caught up in it all” leading to less rational choices being made.
I think somewhere in that lot is a smacked wrist for yesterday’s miscreants, but no need for capital punishment at this stage.

Re: SL crowds
Pretty sure some German dude* called it the power of mass suggestion and then George Lucas based some of Star Wars on it. Or something like that.
