The non-league paper article 'Welwyn Garden is not so rosy'
There is an article on page 6 today about our game with Welwyn. Quite damming write up for Welwyn and their number 7.
I wonder if any action has been taken by either their club or the league following the game? They should have also issued an apology to both our club and the lady mentioned in the article.
Disgraceful!

I agree that it was disgraceful , and a straight red card offence probably leading to a long ban. However as the ref gave a yellow card then the league can do no more. One of the stupid rules.

From memory, pulled the physio away from an injured player, several dodgy tackles and then wound the Shed up at the end of the match. He was a cnut. End of.

If only we had yesterday’s ref I’m pretty sure we would have won that. That pasty number 7 could, and should have walked in the first half but the more that hapless ref let him get away with the more he did. I said at the time that the ref looks scared by him.

The article talks of how one of their players gave a female fan verbal abuse in front of her children that left them all upset. The same player walked off at the end of the game giving the shed end some verbal also.
Can't believe they got away with it.

Re: The non-league paper article 'Welwyn Garden is not so rosy'
The writer of the letter in the Fan's Forum section writes: "I found Welwyn to be one of the most arrogant and obnoxious teams I have seen in many years."
He goes on to say: "My trip to The Grove was spoiled by the actions of a number of Welwyn players who need to be sanctioned by club officials to protect the club's reputation."
Pretty much what most of us who witnessed their behaviour think!

I get the feeling the return fixture against them could get quite tasty.
