As regards last season's players it looks as though they don't want to drop down a step or Paul Smith doesn't rate them.

I like what he says. Nice to have a full squad ready for pre-season. I suspect there will be a few changes but it will be nice to have a solid team going into the first game of the season.

Last seasons players aren't good enough for this level, so surely it must be the latter.

This squad is exciting me now. Like a kid on Christmas Eve excited. Like a 'I wish the season kicked off tomorrow' excited.

I know it's very early, but that's how I feel. I've not felt like this, about this club, or indeed football, for many years now.

Am I alone in this?

Yes I'm excited but would be happier when a keeper is signed. By my reckoning we have 5 defenders 3 forwards and 4 midfielders so far.

I think that is 8 signed from Redditch, so there won't be any excuses for players needing to get to know each other.

amazed we have got him IMHO the best I saw at that level last year and could easily play at a higher (much higher) level.

Wouldn't want too many more from Redditch though, they weren't THAT good.

Will be very interesting as Owen says to see how he replaced Platty. Very tough act to follow IMO.
