For what it's worth I will definitely be looking for promotion straight away. Why not? We will likely be the biggest team in the division, with the highest crowds and a decent budget. There should be nobody to fear.

fully agree Andy, but talking to the Bromsgrove people we will have to adapt to a different culture. They say that with a couple of exceptions we will be playing on ploughed fields most weeks, and even Messi would look ordinary on them

The division is toilet mostly. I've never seen a game like I did last August when Bromsgrove whacked double figures past Kidlington. I reckon the top seven of Step 5 'Midland Football League' would see off 80% of teams.
Due to the stupid Step 4 playoff system - the 5th and 6th place teams of the division increasingly look like they won't get promoted. That's because they beat each other.
Peterborough Sports who finished mid-table in the Northern Step 4 regional division last season and going to stroll to the title pretty much.

I think we need to be careful in assuming a drop will bring a return to a winning habit. Even.at the highest level losing is very much habitual, just look at Portsmouth and Sunderland on recent years?
I would welcome a new approach in team management. Making best use of our infrastructure and keeping players who want to play for the club. The Grove needs to be one a fortress where visiting sides need to fear with our usual vociferous home support. I just hope we make the right decision with the management role and appoint someone with a long term plan that matches those of Karen and Keith that offers us a team we can rightly proud of.

True. And I think we should aspire to be as consistent as tomorrow's opponents, Kettering have been. They've bounced back from adversity and so can we.
