Look forward to reading that. Still quite hacked off about Goddard getting no look in (this season and last). Serious lack of attacking options at the moment, leaving us very exposed for a big game on the weekend. Anyone know if Hughes is banned for it?
The Fa website suggests he won't play. Using the link below, type in Halesowen Town in the Club and click on 'awaiting suspension'. It says 3 matches from the 10th.

Great programme notes by John this weekend on those who have left the club. Proving that fans don't always know the answer to 2 + 2 or that maybe joining their dots is more scurrilous to some.
I am choosing not to attend Saturday, so would anyone mind summising what the programme notes say? I can't think there is any defence for how Goddard was mis-used / under-used in his time here.

that sums up why as fans, we know very little beyond a game and why players do or dont play

Would you care to elaborate? I think the majority of fans would agree Goddard is a talented player and a was frustratingly under-used. If there's a valid reason as to why he wasn't selected, why was he on the bench so much? If the reason he wasn't started was so bad, why wasn't he removed from the squad all together?

I'm left feeling a little confused by your comments, unless you expand? I also think care needs to be taken when criticising a fan base for their opinions on specific players, or their views on the on field performances.

I also assume the programme notes will outline the reason for departure but as you correctly say will probably not give reasons for lack of playing time. We'll see.

What's the Goddard revelation from today's programme notes then?

John explained the reasons for various people leaving the club, that's all. Apparently Jordan phoned and was gone in an hour. I'd be more interested to hear 'why' from Jordan and the others tbh. And more interested to hear from John as to why he didn't play him that often. If he simply felt others were better then I guess so be it. Some of us may choose to disagree.

Why were they great programme notes? Simply letting fans know that people had left? Just seems the right thing to do to me. We should be informed, we pay to watch them.

So, it really doesn't answer a lot. I'm not sure I'd take one side of the story as fact.

As regards your comment about others being better, I believe a LOT of fans, who pay money and whose opinion shouldn't be discounted, would strongly disagree.

I agree with you, it'd be good to know the whys as to why he didn't play.
