I agree we need to set our sights higher, but we're going to have to improve significantly to do that, as I don't think we currently are better than a bottom 4 side. Last season was poor, let alone this season, so in order to be pushing for a top 6 finish we'd need to have even more of a turnaround than Wolves managed this season. It's all relative, but that kind of upturn involved wholesale changes at managerial and player level, and money of course.
I’ve seen absolutely nothing at this level to suggest a play off place would take much doing. It really is a poor league with poor teams.

Having a settled core of players would make a huge difference right off the bat - which is what we’ve had for the last 6-8 games. It’s no coincidence that results have picked up in that time - alongside some quality in Hughes.

It would also require positivity and belief. Which I believe we’ve lacked as a club, on and off the field, for some time now.

Any ideas on the forthcoming dates of the finalising of the league structure and then the fixture list? I'm guessing the latter would be early June? The former end of May?

League structure is usually announced PROVISIONALLY about ten days after the play-off finals. Ratified and set in stone at the various League AGMs. Prior to that point there can be changed and sideways moves eg if clubs go bust or opt for voluntary relegation.

League fixtures usually published about four weeks before the first day of the season.

Early FA comp draws usually first week in July. Will be interesting this year as the pyramid changes mean there may be changes to the various rounds different steps enter at in the FA Cup (equally, there may not, but that would probably mean fewer step 5/6 Clubs allowed to enter).
