It’s a shame that a lot of good people with a true love for the club have been forced out, over the last 18 months or so.

If a number of said people were here then maybe this once great club wouldn’t be on its death bed.

The club will probably die at the end of the season. In truth it’s been dead for a while now.

Leaving the actual football to one side my gut feeling is positive. There are still enough good people to pull the club through this. I really believe that. I maybe naive, who knows? Maybe I just want to believe. I just hope enough people stick around to see it through because the football is pushing as many away as the off the field issues.

A crowdfunding appeal was launched yesterday to repair the clock on St.John's church, Halesowen.
The target was £643 - the amount to effect the repair.
Today the total is, at present, £937 - 145% of the amount asked for. I'm afraid that we are not the top priority on the local generosity list!

I hope the repair doesn't change the appearance of the church as much as we managed to do. ::)

I originally intended the post to be a serious comment on our parlous situation - but your replies managed to lighten my mood!😁

I bet folks who visit the church are made to feel welcome, don’t act like school children in a play ground and don’t alienate their ‘supporters’.

Two different catchments, the town of Halesowen supporting the central Church, large catchment against the current football supporters of Halesowen (around 300-350 a game).

Although I agree that the crowdfunding needs to be advertised more... Its not even on the frontpage of our Official website. Not bashing anyone as its a hard job and very unforgiving, just providing constructive thoughts.

Three recent news items on the website,
- Our loss to Grantham at the start of January.
- Announcement of the fans forum for 14th January.
- Our Loss to Rushall in November 2017.
