As many people have already suggested, it would be a great idea to put on some fundraising nights to take in as much money as possible for the club.
For me, we’ll struggle to get near £30,000 from donations alone without offering people something.
Anything like, race nights, tribute nights, live music, quizzes or comedy nights. I’m sure there’s plenty of local people who either can do something themselves or know people who would be willing to help out for the good of the club.
Even things like paying £5 to have a go at hitting the crossbar at half time to win something small or having an exhibition match where 2 teams of fans maybe have to pay £20 each to play at the grove.
Think of the amount of money the average person spends on a night out on beer and taxis alone. If we could do a few things at the club, the money would soon start building up.
I don’t know who the person is who could put this in to place or indeed if there’s enough interest but it’s got to be worth a crack.

Excellent post, thoughts and suggestions Jay Twiggy. Although i had decided to retire, i would be willing to do a concert for the fund raising, with admission by ticket and maybe a fish and chip meal included and moreso people could and probably would, pay more if I did n't sing. Also with my many musical contacts, I may be able to get some more performers to participate.

Re: Fundraising Events
What a really good post thank you.
Maybe we could organise a firework display around November, or a German style market in the grounds, where we could charge a fee to enter and get all the profits from the food. Maybe a beer festival along the same lines.
What would be great would be to support local businesses with them providing some of the consumables to sell, but might not be practically feasible for them to do that.
Maybe include a family fun day, where we get local singers to perform, there must be some high quality singers who would like the exposure.
Could we contact any local clubs, could the Albion or Villa do anything to assist, even being able to advertise some players to sign autographs would increase attendance.
These are just ideas, and I am typing as I think, so please be kind in your responses.

Re: Fundraising Events
I’ll donate £5 for every time we enter the oppositions half.
I’ll just give the £5 now, shall I?
