An excellent and honourable thing to do! As far as I'm concerned!

Currently at £1,020 pound, Presumably not taking into account donations made in person.

Couple of questions that might help/encourage others. Ive just tried the just giving page and it asks for a password. what is this password? Like most people yesterday who were making their pledges directly i will go down and do the same now. Also is it going to be possible to see a running total alongside the just giving site to let people know that it is going well?
Didn't word that very well either. ::)
By 'running total' I meant including donations given in person as well as the just giving site.

I think you need to revert to carrier pigeon.

Just noticed a donation from John, a Wimbledon supporter! What a magnificent gesture from a fan of a club who knows just what its like to be in a predicament like ours.
Dont know what made me put 'John', it quite clearly says Windlesham Don! Sorry :-[
....and a Reading fan as well! Thank you.

Great vision Andy - Windlesham Don is indeed a “John”. I’ve known him since we worked together in the Home Counties in the 1980s and he’s had to put up with my Yeltz joy (and latterly woe) ever since. The Wimbledon journey is a textbook “fans club” story and has been a remarkable one for those fans. Their original ground had a sporting covenant but was allowed to be bought and then sold on for ten times the price (covenant free). The original Wimbledon club was allowed to move to MK and change their name, prompting fans to set up their own fans club in 2002. After many planning problems it seems AFC Wimbledon can now finally meet their aim of returning to their "spiritual home" of Plough Lane, Wimbledon on the site of the former greyhound stadium.

Jeff is an Oxfordshire farmer I’ve known since university days in the early 1980s and used to visit the Grove once a season. He may be known to some after he stitched me up good and proper by visiting the Grove in 2016 disguised as drunken Irishman Brendan O’Callaghan from Limerick, supposedly making his return to the Grove after a 20 years absence (serves me right for what I’ve done to him over the years).

Both Jeff and Windlesham Don have contributed without any prompting. It shows the power of networks and social media, but most of all the depth of feeling real fans have for their club.

The 'Share on Facebook' link needs working on, the message is contradictory.
The ploughman he's a bonnie lad,
His mind is ever true, jo,
His garters knit below his knee,
His bonnet it is blue, jo.
Then up wi' him my ploughman lad,
And hey my merry ploughman!
Of a' the trades that I do ken,
Commend me to the ploughman.
