Few observations from last night,
- Team need to talk to eachother more, other than Platty, Bragoli and Asa the team was so quiet.
- We have a distinct lack of height in the side. Not like when we had the likes of Joe and Curtis, two commanding players both defensively good in the air and can attack a ball.
- The long ball game simply does not work with the current side we have, when we got the ball down and passed it we looked a lot better.
- It was notable they had a few experienced ex Pro's in their side last night. Saying that, they were a poor side but unfortunately we played a lot worse.
- If it wasn't for Platt in the second half it could have been 4/5!
Plenty of work to do and we need a win fast.

Re: Hednesford Updates
I always think our side under John Hill lacks confidence and belief. Or is it just me?
Thankfully only one goes down this season. If it was the usual four then I would be very concerned.
Three defeats in four games is a disastrous start.
The shambolic pre-season has yet again meant we start the season slowly. By shambolic I'm alluding to the fact we never seem to have a settled squad, play poor opposition, and play god knows how many trialists.
I accept that this is non-league, and as such having a settled squad is difficult. But I'm sure many would agree with my sentiments.
The playing budget is allegedly greater than it was last season. So, have we brought in poorer quality? Do we have the quality but we're poorly managed? Or, are we being told porky pies, and the budget is smaller than we're led to believe?
From what I saw last night there wasn't a great deal of quality on show, Platt being the exception.
The last three matches haven't exactly been tough, I'd like to think we have the ability to have earned at least five points, aiming for seven. We've gotten three.
We travel to Buxton on saturday, meaning it's very likely it's not going to get any better.
The frustrating and sad thing from a fans prospective (as I mentioned above) is the fact this start and the results we have gotten, isn't at all surprising to me. In fact it's exactly what I expected.
I know it's only four games into a brand new season, and there is a hell of a long way to go. But this isn't a knee jerk reaction. Peformances like last night have become the norm for two & 1/2 years now (pretty much since the tail end of our first season back at this level). The odd entertaining and positive performance, at a vital time, is a rare exception.
Dwindling attendances & a lack of posts on this forum, tells you people are sick and tired of this now. We have been given next to no sign that the current management team can turn things around, have we? Why is this season going to be any different from 2015/16 & 2016/17?
This has all been said before. Time and time again.
We're just going around and around in circles now. It's getting very frustrating.
