Just noticed our last pre season friendly is against Spalding. Although I believe we have played them once since (FA Cup circa 2004?), how many of you remember the wonderful night there in the 1989-90 season? Needing a win for promotion we clung on to a nervy 3-2 to achieve just that. After they came back from 3 down they battered us especially with their Tonksesque throw ins. But survive we did and a great night was had by the travelling faithful.

I was there.
They hold the annual tulip festival on the pitch dontchknow.

We were holding the annual dandelion festival on ours. ::) I'm sure that's all behind us now though, fingers crossed.
