I agree Zee, this may be a time for little celebration. The saga may be far from over.

Steve's brief comment to the E&S -
“I am extremely disappointed with the outcome and am filing papers for an appeal. A committee run the place anyway and it is a family business.
When I took over the first target was to make the business self-funded.”

I was under the impression the Committee has long been disbanded, everyone involved is purely a volunteer and the only Director is now banned from all football activity? Looks like a rudderless ship to me but I'm sure it will all look much rosier if I can borrow some special Yeltz Family specs.

Considering how lenient the penalty was, I can't see how there is much grounds for appeal. Presumably there will be some committee minutes written retrospectively?

Do you know what would help the club. A decent team. A watchable style of football. A decent pitch to play it on. Not being in front of the FA for all the wrong reasons. A decent cup run. Honest openness. Fans not being castigated for their views. The return of the club badge, so we at least recognise who we support. Knowing that we can have faith in 'whoever' is REALLY pulling the strings.
We had all those things in the past. We had no need of new buildings and superfluous things. We stood on a dirt bank, and later even terracing, to watch the only thing we really wanted. GOOD FOOTBALL. And do you know what, we were happy.

Idiots, maybe. Crap jokes, maybe. I feel though that for such a long time now the joke has been on us.

I agree, we were a right bunch of idiots for fighting for 3 years to save the club from mis-management and dodgy activity then leaving it to be allowed to return to mis-management and dodgy background activity on the watch of a bunch of toothless self appraising puppets.
I personally have no intention of handing any cash over until the Club is truly clean and that may be a very long time if ever.

Totally agree with everything that Andy and Zee have said regarding your rant Dazzler. so before you have the audacity to call anyone a bunch of idiots, I suggest you put your brain in gear and consider why we are having to take the stance that we have and get the true facts while we still have a club to follow because as sure as hell , if things continue as they are, will wont have for much longer. And that's FACT.
