Just met a guy called Paul and his enthusiastic son Josh and charming wife at Halesowen Tennis Clubs open day.Paul and I agreed that
this forum is getting particularly toxic,we both thought a point against Skem is a great result and means we should now stave off relegation.
In order to back this up,I have now decided to pack up this forum for this Lent and til the end of next Lent which in the great scheme of the
over 35 years I have supported the Yeltz is but a blink of an eyelash ;) .It will be great to see some of the characters on this forum
imitate the forkawi bird and disappear up their own rectums once Mr Hill establishes the Yeltz in whatever division we are fortunate to be in
next season.Look forward to my next post on Easter Monday 2018 (if I'm spared!) 8)
That's fine. But maybe the people that complain this forum has become toxic should ask themselves why. Is it because none of the issues raised are ever dealt with or taken seriously? If that's the case who is responsible? What do you want us to do, just shut up and never bother saying anything? We are supposed to just accept whatever a few people want presumably (even though they are in the minority) and let the club continue to be taken/stolen from us

There is only one person at the club who will decide whether John Hill stays or goes and that's the owner Steve Lynch. No one influences him one way or another because John Hill and Matt Clarke are intwined into the club and it's more effort to get rid of them than put up with poor results and disgruntled fans.

There's also a rather cute "financial agreement" between the owner and manager that would be broken if John Hill were to leave. I'll leave you to think what that could be.

This for me is a very good point, there is only one man that can change the management, so perhaps the ones that are lets say trying to help the club see this, (before anyone starts I know many people have helped over the years) knowing this just want to try and improve facilities or upgrade, it doesn't mean they are necessarily in favour of what's going on, on the pitch. Managers, players etc come and go, trying to improve Halesowen Town off the pitch is also a big factor, surely people can see things have improved in that department.

Interesting point Dazza. Who do you think the person who can change the manager?

.....which is nub of the question Dazza.

I know who the legal owner is (Tammy Lynch according to both the web site and Companies House, the last time I looked at both of these), but I assume this is fronting. Can you enlighten me further?

I am sure you know more than me.

I just think the ones trying to help the club off the pitch should be recognised a little, like the ones who have helped in the past. That was more my point and not that they necessarily support everything going on. They just want to help HTFC regardless of the owner, the manager, the players etc.

Am i right in thinking that the dog would not have entered the field of play had we still been sponsored by Big Pet Store?

Never thought much of tennis myself, can't trust a game where the scoring system is based on bad French.

In any case, can't see any winners from the current Yeltz situation in any respect, only losers on all fronts. With the possible exception of Mr Bean, of course (assuming that he actually gets paid unlike previously)
