Unfortunately this morning Kidsgrove cancelled tonight's game.

Not impressed at all with the timing but not a lot we can do about it I'm afraid.

And congratulations to our midfielder Kartel O'Neil who came on as a second half substitute in the 1st team friendly tonight, claiming a great assist with his through ball for the Yeltz goal.

Great to hear kids from our youth set up are coming into the senior side and making a positive impact.

With the exodus of players over the past few weeks, and with no immediate replacements (haven't seen any news of new players on the website), we may have no choice but to field more youth team players.

Which may not be a bad thing. Hopefully we find a gem!

The loan system has been kind to us, and it's something I hope we can continue to use going forward, but it makes more sense to try and nurture players you can actually keep!

agree 100% with this but it's important when involving youth team players I think that they are brought in when they are ready and not rushed. Also with the loan system it's been kind to us I do say but if at all possible we would not want to rely on it. In an ideal world loan players should in my opinion add extra quality to what side already has and be like a special treat and not become a mainstay of the team necessarily. Although in a way I suppose it doesn't matter because players move around a lot in nonleague anyway.
