Following a drop in temperature and a very late pitch inspection, the referee has unfortunately called tonight's game off.

Not surprised, -6 last night and temperatures struggled to get up today.

When does the tie have to be played by?

Because of Walsall's commitments the Birmingham FA already extended the date to accommodate this tie.

What I would like to know is just who informed Wendnesbury Stoke , that the match would go ahead because at the time he posted, 11.45am, it was obvious to me that the match was in grave doubt.

Assume they will be able to extend this further now?

Agree Ken, as soon as it went dark again it was obvious it was going to be in doubt with clear skies. Midday in Halesowen there was still plenty of frost around.

Interesting that the conference date for this round was by Saturday 26th November, but several fixtures due next week and Hednesford not until 20th, so hopefully that should stop the B'ham FA blazer boys flexing their muscles and demanding the postponement of a Saturday league fixture.

It would be interesting though if they did, to see whether they would make Walsall postpone a League 1 match ;)

A blind mon on a galloping hoss could see that it would not be played.
