Re: Fixtures 2016 / 2017
Reading that it's all Halesowen's fault as we requested a August bank holiday home tie.
If that's the case then my God, the league are clowns.
I don't buy that for a second. I'd like to think that we'd make it absolutely clear that a bank holiday against Stourbr*dge is the absolute priority.

Re: Fixtures 2016 / 2017
but they're also saying that because we both start away from home then we couldn't play at home on Boxing Day? WTF......
Rushall and Sutton are not going to bring anything more than 20 supporters to The Grove / Amblecote and if we're being honest, we'll take no more than 100 to a Bank Holiday fixture at either of those. It's not their fault and I imagine in principle they'd refuse, but worth asking them to swap around and play each other. It's hardly going to cause anything like a £7-£10k loss of revenue.
Another one I'm hearing, although it's alledgely to cover the pending court case (
), is that since quite a number of Northern Premier League officials 'left' they've started hiring companies (the beloved 3rd parties) to do jobs and the fixtures went to a company in Scotland...........
Look at what I've just done to the fixture list:-
Monday 26th December 2016
Ashton United v Warrington Town
Coalville Town v Barwell
Grantham Town v Corby Town
Halesowen Town v
Marine v Skelmersdale United
Matlock Town v Buxton
Mickleover Sports v Ilkeston FC
Spennymoor Town v Frickley Athletic
Stafford Rangers v Hednesford Town
Stourbr*dge v Halesowen Town
Sutton Coldfield Town v Rushall Olympic
Whitby Town v Blyth Spartans
Workington v Nantwich Town
Monday 17th April 2017
Barwell v Coalville Town
Blyth Spartans v Whitby Town
Buxton v Matlock Town
Corby Town v Grantham Town
Frickley Athletic v Spennymoor Town
Hednesford Town v Stafford Rangers
Ilkeston FC v Mickleover Sports
Nantwich Town v Workington
Rushall Olympic v Stourbr*dge
Skelmersdale United v Marine
Sutton Coldfield Town v Halesowen Town
Took 2 seconds of copy and paste and the tiniest braincell I own (or only one!
)
For the eagle eyed amongst you. That leaves two games against Sutton Coldfield for us and two games against Rushall Olympic for Stour. Just re-arrange for a midweek / free Saturday should one arise because of cup comps........

Re: Fixtures 2016 / 2017
I don't consider myself stupid - others may disagree there...
But I just cannot get my head around the fact that a bank holiday fixture in August, affects the Boxing Day fixtures.
I kind of see where the league are coming from (at a push) with their 'alternating fixtures' line. But it doesn't wash with me.
Like HH has just done, why can't fixtures be manually amended?
I'm left baffled here.

Re: Fixtures 2016 / 2017
The Christmas Eve game is very much a good case of the league spouting nonsense.
We are away to Corby town, BUT, this fixture can be changed if both the teams agree.
So, surely, if us Stourbr*dge, Sutton and Rushall all agree to a fixture change, where is the problem?
No procedure, no protocol.

It would appear that without registering i cannot contact the club via the website. I've tried, i guess it's now time to just give up asking. i, along with others, can only hope that merchandise sales are down enough to initiate a rethink on this whole affair. It seems money is the only thing that matters anymore.andy wrote:Many apologies. Just trawled back through the post and you did come on to say that you wouldn't comment on here after previous episodes. I would have thought though that any information you would give to me via the club website would be good to put on here for everybodys consumption. Nevertheless I will contact.Sccmkcyr wrote:Andy I told you to contact the club via the website and several others told you the same, if you choose to ignore them and keep moaning then there's no point repeating it again and again.

Re: Fixtures 2016 / 2017
Has anybody contacted the above clubs? Surely if all are in agreement the league could have no problem with that. My concern is that they may not agree as they may see our visit as a bit of a payday themselves.wednesburystokie wrote:The Christmas Eve game is very much a good case of the league spouting nonsense.

Re: Fixtures 2016 / 2017
After giving the fixtures a quick look over last night it may not be THAT simple as we would then have to play Sutton Coldfield when we are due to play Stourbr*dge but then who would whichever team Sutton are playing play?
It would involve a bit of moving around
