So we are nearly there. Hopefully by this time tomorrow we will know what the starting fixtures are for the upcoming season.

First up on Saturday 13th August 2016 is:-

Buxton away

Stourbr*dge away isn't Monday 26th December 2016! we've got Sutton Coldfield at home that day
Hednesford away on 2nd January 2017

Bizarre

This is a stitch up. We should be sending the league an invoice.

Fully accept that you shouldn't take the games for granted but under what logical circumstances would they remove the bank holiday derby. It doesn't even make sense geographically- we're heading up to Hednesford instead?!

We've had our pants firmly pulled down on this one. (Corby Away on Xmas Eve as well! Merry Christmas everyone!)

I feel more angry at this fixture than Andy does about our badge.

Absolute madness to remove a fixture that all but gaurantee 2,000 attendance.

Seething.

What a ridiculous decision by the league. Making both "El Busicos" midweek fixtures is going to probably take 2/3 off both gates compared to last season which is going to hit both us and them up the road financially. Would have made more sense to keep our traditional slot and let SCT and the Pics play each other on the same day.

I'd like to think common sense will prevail but in line with everything else in the world at the moment, I'm not holding my breath.

Strangely I know Alan Allcock left the Northern Premier League (and was exceptional at his job) but I was always under the impression the lady secretary was still in place (and you have to admit the way they re-arrange postponed matches etc has up till this farce been exceptionally good). I guess our only hope is the two clubs get together and attempt to re-arrange the games that are planned for those dates involving the other teams (Rushall, Sutton). I mean, Stafford and Hednesford get each other on Boxing Day and Easter Monday.........we deffo asked for Stour on these games, and I'd be amazed if it wasn't reciprocated by them lot. FFS we play Rushall on Saturdays again?!

Looking at the first Stourbr*dge game, it's on the Monday after a free Saturday - so I assume that's after an early round FA Cup weekend.

Obviously that means there's a good chance the game may be postponed at short notice due to replays.

What a farce.

Apparently @evostikleague are fully now aware of the fixture issue of Stourbr*dge and us, and the matter is being looked at. Let's see what they do before we all start calling them names eh?!!!!
