Re: Club launch replica kits for 16/17 campaign
Dazza, I usually get on ok with you and I do believe you have the interest of the Club at heart but you must have your head up your arse as you are starting to talk some crap.
On a few occasions recently you have accused Scouse and myself of having our noses put out of joint and jealousy. I've been on the planet a while and no one has ever managed the former and the second is a trait I have never suffered from. Why would we be jealous? We did our bit as many others before us did theirs, with these things at any Club the baton gets passed along. Its well documented why the Trust became dormant, NOBODY came forward to take it to a new level and the remainder of the Board were burned out, it will be interesting to see where you all are in 3 years time (especially if the waters turn choppy).
You and the rest of FOTG have done some good work but some (not all) of your crew seem to think they are the only ones ever to get involved behind the scences and can therefore dismiss everyone else and their opinions and it is that aspect that pushes some of the 'long termers' away
Nobody can accuse me of not saying what I think, I have always made it clear I have issues with FOTG for the following reasons:
1 I don't like the way it was created (I am well aware 'other entities' were very likely behind the way and reasons it was created)
2. It has no legal structure should it ever be required
3. It has no wider Community aspect
4. it under pins the current ownership(who I have no problem with) but does not provide a wider safety net for the Club as a whole
5. It can't provide a truly independent voice for supporters ( as demonstrated by recent events)
6. More recently, the diabolical way it and its associates have failed to make any attempt to understand the reasons behind the badge dispute, totally disregarding the thoughts of fans that have been around the block.
So there you have the truth as I see it, the strange thing is, I now have a little more time on my hands and started to get my interest back towards the end of the season, I will not get involved with FOTG for the above reasons, I may help the club if I can at some point but at a time and in a manner of my choosing. jealous ? I don't think so.

That's your opinion if you think I'm talking crap, I have read and digested your post.
Let's leave it at that is probably the best way forward, all I would say is we both have one thing in common and that is that we both speak our minds and have the clubs best interest.

Re: Club launch replica kits for 16/17 campaign
The club is benefiting from the FOTG draw finance, therefore I ask; "is that in any way bad?" The method of raising that money may not be to the liking of some, but I am certain that it was set up with the best intentions for the sole reason of helping HTFC.
Maybe a step taken backwards is what is necessary to defuse this situation - after all many things change, not always for the better I agree - but is all this ill-feeling not a little over the top?
Whatever the design of the six inch square on the shirt might be, I won't throw my season ticket in the bin and will be there on match days - for me it's about being at the game supporting The Yeltz. Life's too short for bickering and bad feeling.

Re: Club launch replica kits for 16/17 campaign
I just want to add a few of my own thoughts on this post..
1 I don't like the way it was created (I am well aware 'other entities' were very likely behind the way and reasons it was created) - Correct. I was asked if running the monthly draw would be something I would consider doing after offering my help to the club in anyway. The way it has evolved over time has really happened by accident when I have found out there are like minded supporters like myself who have various skill sets that can help the club.
2. It has no legal structure should it ever be required.
There is no need for a group of volunteers to have any legal structure to it with the aims that we have, The aims of the FOTG and Yeltz Trust are significantly different. This may be something that will change in time, but as a new organisation my feeling is we needed to crawl before we walked.
3. It has no wider Community aspect.
I disagree with this, we may not have a particular charity attached to us, however the FOTG members have been the driving force behind The Black Country Food Bank Appeal for the last two years, The Santa Sleigh organised by the Halesowen & Rowley Regis Rotary Club was supported by FOTG members as well as arrang doing bucket collections for Ramsbottom United and Dan Platt.
4. it under pins the current ownership(who I have no problem with) but does not provide a wider safety net for the Club as a whole.
Again this is really because our objectives aren't based on a legal structure like the Yeltz Trust/
5. It can't provide a truly independent voice for supporters ( as demonstrated by recent events)
I have rasied my concerns about the current badge to the committee from things I have seen on here, and on social media, this despite me not receiving one single PM on here, or a single email from FOTG members. I have exchanged text messages however with one Yeltz fan.
6. More recently, the diabolical way it and its associates have failed to make any attempt to understand the reasons behind the badge dispute, totally disregarding the thoughts of fans that have been around the block.
As above, I do understand the reasons why people are annoyed, and do understand people's thoughts on how it could have been handled better. However, as in any organisation people have the responsibility of making decisions, some are popular some aren't. I've made my personal feelings known that I'm not keen on the badge but we'll see how it goes.
I appreciate that people might not like the FOTG and might not agree with how I have gone about things. However my intentions have always been about putting the needs of the club first. If I have upset or offended anyone along the way that isn't my intention. I have done the best I can do with the time available to me. I have learnt a lot since being involved here, I may not have got everything right but i feel the work I have done to help get supporters involved in the running of the club has been useful. I've been fortunate that numerous other supporters have been a great help. I have plans for the FOTG to grow in different directions in due course but I wanted to establish the draw, and the working party side of things first.
I fully appreciate the comments both ZeeZee and Sprout have made about being burned out, unless you get involved you would probably have no idea of the time you guys will have put in over the years. However, one of the aims of the FOTG is to constantly bring in new people to ensure we don't ever get in a situation that there aren't supporters helping the club. I really don't want this to be a FOTG V Yeltz Trust argument, I believe it would be beneficial for The Yeltz Trust to still be around, and if it was I would be the first to pay my fees to join as I did when I first came to Halesowen.
I just find it very disappointing that some long term supporters can't support what we're doing. The only agenda I have is to help the club move forwards. I wouldn't have thought that was such a bad thing. Anyway, I'm going to retire from this discussion point from here on in, I think I've said my peace.

Re: Club launch replica kits for 16/17 campaign
Just had a thought. If the club are offering a 'classic range' of merchandise, is there any chance of a 'classic range' season ticket? The print facility must still be easy to access. The money for one is ready and waiting if anyone is prepared to get back to me on this.
