Why should players be loyal to clubs when clubs aren't loyal to players?

i.e if a player isn't good enough, the club move them on, it works the same the other way round.

Gutted to see Cooper go. Personally I rated him, and I felt he should have been given more game time, but then again the management pick the team every week and if they felt Isaac didn't quite cut it for the starting XI then I can understand his reason to leave and wish him all the best.

But I don't agree that he left because of the opposition's budget. JH didn't give him much game time, therefore he left and went to a lower league club so he doesn't sit on the bench every week like he does here. If the management wanted to keep him here then he would still be here, regardless of the budget of Sporting Khalsa

Would've liked to see him have an extended run as wide left player in a 4-3-3. I think a 4-3-3 with a front three of Reffell, Daniels and Cooper with Denny, Hales and Brags as the central three midfielders would've been exciting to watch.

Sadly we'll never know!

Just out of interest, do players get paid the same if they stay on the bench for a game? There were a few murmurings from an undisclosed source (his uncle, actually) that he was unhappy at not starting games. Does it leave them out of pocket, or is this about "game time", etc?

I think this is purely a footballing decision from Cooper. He genuinely seemed interested in the club, and attended the youth games, for exanple.

Not sure this is money motivated and I for one feel frustrated that a players of Isaac's quality seemed to get frozen out.

Shades of Lait, last season. Just doesn't seem to fit John's 3-5-2 system, I rate Cooper but he's no wing back.

352 was a great formation last season. We had two brilliant wing backs and the best central defender in the league in Tilt. CB's and wing backs being key in the 352. I don't feel the quality is as good in those areas as it was last season.

I'm not sure it's working anywhere near as effectively as last season. As per my previous post I'd like to have seen us go 433. I think it'd work well with the current squad.

Good luck to Isaac, a nice lad and a nice family. I'm a little disappointed he didn't stick it out a little longer but I respect his decision to move on if he feels he needs to play. I guess when you're battling for a place against one of our most consistent players in our squad for years in Griff it must be a little disheartening. If we played 4-4-2 I would start Isaac every week but as we don't play that formation I guess it was always going to be hard. Shame really as JH has a good reputation of improving young players over time...

Isn't it frustrating that local clubs two levels down can attract such investment that their budget is bigger than ours.

It's frustrating that most teams in our current league supposedly have investors throwing money at their club and we're just living in our means and being self sufficient (which is good to see, to an extent).

Are most clubs just getting lucky and attracting such investment. If only we could be as lucky as those, and have investors throwing money at us! (That's the impressions I get from various posts from yourself and Guesty).

Investment - suggests you get a return.

I am not embarrassed by what other clubs lower league or same do. We had a few months November to April under MM when it looked good. When it turned out we had players from higher levels attracted purely for cash.

Imagine we had paid signing on fees +£1,000 at the start of the season on a couple of players that on paper looked good but failed to deliver.

I understand he just wants to play. It is frustrating being on the bench and it is hard to think that you will learn and improve when at a higher level club.

Shame he has decided to move on for now.

I hope we see him in a Yeltz shirt again in the future.

I'm extremely disappointed about this. The one half of entertainment I've seen in however long was mainly down to Cooper. The only player we had with any real pace so it doesn't surprise me sadly

I'd argue the case for Daniels being quicker, and Waite. Griff is pretty quick too. Oh and Keyon... I would also put money on Hales being equally as quick as Isaac too. It's noticeable that he's dropped down in standard too, no sign of Stour, Rushall or Sutton coming in for him at our level or clubs like Tividale, Stafford and Romulus in the league below. Isaac was a very decent player no doubt, with a great potential to improve however Messi he wasn't.
