A pleasing point gained on a tricky, rain soaked pitch making it difficult conditions underfoot at times for both sides.

Neither team really created a great deal in the way of clear cut chances, Platty made a great tip over save in the first half and the home side maybe edged the first half. The last 25 minutes I thought we were the better side and we were unfortunate to not take the lead after some nice passages of play. A great strike by Hales got us the equaliser and we might have won it if Waite had smashed the ball first time instead of taking a touch. I don't think in fairness we did enough to warrant getting three points and a draw was probably a fair result. The slight change of formation and having Bragoli, Hales, Westwood and Denny meant we were more narrow than usual. We missed Lewis, I think he might have given us an option to play with wing backs and stretch the game at times. Special mention for the fastly improving Kyle Morrison who was excellent alongside Asa.

So, onto Tuesday, the league cup. A rubbish competition for sure, but it is a competition we could really have a go at to win something. We won't go down, we most likely won't be close enough to the play offs. With so many other teams having league, cup and play off distractions I'd really like to see us have a go at trying to win something. It is, afterall what football is all about...

A good summary by RobYeltz. Hadn't realised quite how soaked the pitch was until I noticed the 'lino' seemed to be running in a moat in the second half. We had to endure the 'new manager' syndrome early on with Colwyn playing some nice stuff at times, though I think we helped by sitting back a bit too far. Second half we tried and succeeded in playing some good stuff and we ended up with a game probably better than we had a right to expect. Definitely good commitment and some encouraging signs that JMG is regaining some confidence and fitness so, like Daniels, will be a bonus. Had a quick wiz through the video and we need to thank the guys again, particularly as one was positioned on a high gantry in bad weather. Still making progress in my eyes.
