Re: Cradley Town Friendly
There were some decent players on show yesterday. One positive feature is that Matty had them playing football on the floor, as opposed to the oft used long ball that seemed to be a default tactic last season.
The front men combined well and were like s**t of the proverbial. Great work by the No.2 who worked hard and got some fantastic crosses into the box.
An enjoyable afternoon. Plenty of positives for the coming season in my humble.

Re: Cradley Town Friendly
Parsons-Smith was the stand out performer for me yesterday- a very confident player on the ball, happy to take players on (as demonstrated in the assists for the first two goals). Could be a similar player to what Laity represented.
We will need a few more additions (at least one more centre back and a centre midfielder IMO) but we've got the makings of a good team here and, on the whole, the new boys equipped themselves well.

Have to agree with both comments about Parsons-Smith. Got forward well and delivered good ball into the box for two of the goals. Westwood and Charles at CB both seemed very composed on the ball and helped with the distribution from the back. Darkin showed a good range of passing and switched the play nicely on a number of occassions. It was noticeable also how often we tried to get wide and get behind the opposition and Cooper was equally as positive down the left as APS down the right. Nice to see Macca back also even though he was injured yesterday. Hopefully some of them will soon be registered players so we know who they are!
Look forward to seeing them again on Friday,

Agree with everything said about Parson-Smith. Thought Darkin and Westwood were excellent. Early days I know but much promise shown. Probably me, but does anyone think Ben would have profited this season from what looks like a more considered attacking approach?

I agree about Parsons Smith, I also loved watching Isaac Cooper his perseverance on the left wing and cross for the third which Mike Taylor put away was class. Thought the front 2 in the second half held the ball up very well and brought people into play well.
A good workout, some decent passing, I know it's only 1 game but I am excited !
