Thanks and a big well done to everyone that was present at the poker night last night, a decent turnout for the 1st one.

Neil "Mankini Man" Broughton scooped the 1st prize in the beginners game after battling heads up with Dave "The Loachfish" Hawley.

In the advanced game Chris "Kick Ass" Melia claimed top spot and even donated some of his winnings back to the F.O.T.G.S.A.

There were 8 raffle prizes with John "The Limo Man" Cooper winning a signed Yeltz shirt, and Josh "Wash That Sock" Roberts winning a signed Yeltz calendar.

All in all it was a fantastic everything, everyone had a great time and hopefully another evening will be sorted soon.

Thanks to Charlotte behind the bar for her patience and for not setting the dogs on us to get out of the James Grove Lounge at the end ! :D

Details will be on here for the next one soon, if you want to be involved we would love to see you there !

Thanks to yourself and Dale for a really well organised fun night. Dale had the patience of a saint with us lot playing!

Even though some of the group had never played before it worked out really well having a few practice hands for them to get the gist of what was going on. John C's reaction when he finally had what was a decent hand was hilarious...or was he just double bluffing? Definitely have to do it again in the future had such a good laugh. Watching John Slater be the first one out skint with no chips left and Mark's good lady Rebekah questioning Dale, "Are you sure?" when she didn't have a winning hand was funny. As for Soggybottom, he would bluff his own family given the chance.

Can only echo Rob's words, massive thanks to yourself and Dale, a great night was had by all, if the events in the future are half as good as that one they will be a great success.

Everyone I've spoken to really enjoyed themselves.

Really pleased to hear that last night was a success. I take it there will be other events organised and not just Poker ?

We'd like to organise something every six weeks or so if we can and we'll try different things. Obviously people have different interests and I know Daz is already planning his next evening but as Dave said, I'm sure he'll listen to suggestions and ideas. As is always the case it's down to people to come along and make it a success.

Thanks for all the kind messages received not just on here, much appreciated, as Rob has said I aim to cater for every need, the poker night was first up really because myself and Dale have done them before and had all the equipment to hand.

I am open to suggestions or any feedback on anything planned or done, I would really like loads to come and enjoy these evenings, try one and if you don't like it, you don't have to come to anymore, but I am confident you will.

I have the next one mostly planned, am just waiting for the go ahead that it's ok to proceed !

Watch this space.
