Ben Haseley

...has seemingly decided to join Stafford.

I'll be the first in line to pass on thanks to Ben for a fantastic three and a half years for The Mighty Yeltz. Without Ben's goals, there's no chance we'd be playing at this level, particularly when you look at his contribution throughout that famous run-in. I think it's fair to say he goes with our very best wishes!

The season before last was one of the best I have seen from any Town player. I told him at Belper he was now a Yeltz legend (the first Ina long time) and I stand by that still. Very sad to see him go. I'm sure if he plays for Stafford with the same passion they will love him there too.
Cheers Ben and good luck.

Sad to see him go, but had a feeling it was coming particularly after his absence at the Awards Evening on Saturday night.

Was an unbelievable player for us in the Division One South for 2 seasons and his goalscoring record was phenomenal particularly during the title winning season. This season just gone, he hasn't seemed the same player. Whether that be the case of the step up in league against better opposition, loss of form/confidence or lack of fitness. Possible a combination of all three.

However a goal scoring record of 105 goals in 150 games cannot be questioned. And 3 and a half years service is particularly rare at the best of times in modern day football, even more so in non-league.

There is no doubt he will go down in Yeltz history as a legend.

Thanks for everything Ben, and good luck for the future! You never know, he may be back with us again one day!

Best of luck to Ben for the future. A great player, superb goalscorer, great work rate and brilliant attitude. Whilst he'll quite rightly be remembered for his outstanding goalscoring record one of my favourite memories of Ben was the time when he was out with his eye injury when he spent a good number of games mingling with the fans behind the goal to support the team on the pitch.
I hope he gets to play at The Grove next season for Stafford in a cup game possibly so he can be given a great round of applause by the Yeltz fans. Thanks Ben.

I was always excited when Ben was on the pitch. A fantastic weapon in our arsenal.
All the best to him at Stafford.

Hopefully we will find another useful forward to replace him, as well as not continue with the long ball over the top option.

onwards and upwards!
