I'll take the pessimistic comment back.

If there's 654 at The Grove tonight, I'll walk to Curzon Ashton next Tuesday!!!
Will you then drive to Stalybridge?

(Merely an attempt to confirm venue ;) )

:D I was merely going on the fact that the nearest league footie is at Notts. Conty, televised footie on Freeview
is Chelsea(again),Kiddy aren't at home local pitches will be mainly waterlogged i.e Beeches Avenue and the Lye.
So casual supporters within a 20 miles radius desperate for a bit of live footie will be heading our way, even
allowing for the midweek factor, get your butts down the Grove if you want to see a daft bloke with Cheese
on his head and an attractive team playing progressive football.
I'll amend that prediction up to 750 AND suggest a groundshare with Smethwick!

That positive enough Halesowen Harry or Houdini whatever your name is! 8)

I did check that on their site (it's full of facts and stuff but seems to be a bit too much when searching for something). I hope it's at Curzon's ground as Stalybridge is a right old ball ache to get to. If it's called off late though we could always get a kebab in Congleton ;D

Just for clarification FC United are playing at Curzon until they move into their new ground which looks to be the end of March. Them lot down the road may be the first game.

Yes a Tuesday winter evening when there is also live football on TV makes it a hard for non-league teams to attract the floating supporter and away fans will be at a premium too.

A lot is said about the fact there should be more fans; currently we average 425 for home league games. This is up a creditable 13% on last season and ranks 6th best in the league. Factor in a home match against FC United and the local derby and the average could end up about the 530 mark, and we'll end up being around 3rd in the attendances in this division. Steady growth - not bad at all.

(Sorry, that wasn't anything to do with the pitch).

Buzzing for tonight's game, just en route to The Grove now for what will be my first home game since November would you believe?! Shocking really on my part!

Hopefully should be a good game, hopefully a decent turn out too but most importantly let's get behind the boys and get the 3 points!

Up the Yeltz!
