Away Support

Post by yeltz85 » 20 Jan 2015, 09:43

Just been reading around the Marine forum after many comments on Twitter about our away support on Saturday.

Just goes to show when we group all together underneath a stand the atmosphere that can be created. Shame that more dont congregate in a group. We can only but encourage more to join.

Totally agree, one of the best atmospheres i've experienced since i became involved.

We certainly have some great fans, i know most of the 'singers' go behind the dug out, which, fair enough gives the best view, but being under cover, the singing seems to drift away.

we'll just have to get a roof built over the terracing :)

Glad someone mentioned this. There's only a small number of us that sing home and away at most if not all games. It was fantastic to hear some of Marine's comments about the few of us who did sing there, imagine what it would be like if more of us bunched together not just away but at home as well. I noticed there was at least 50-60 singing at Stourbr*dge, probably even more. I am aware that a lot of them don't attend often, but surely some of them must have been regulars. Why should the atmosphere be raised for the big games, why not every home game? Surely it'd be better if a decent sized group of us bunched together on the sideline (or shed end in the second half) and get behind the lads?

It did seem like we sounded loud, especially under the roof, what I liked was that it was 100% pro Halesowen as well. Almost every player has a little song for them as well as the management, physio and club photographer, this on top of the normal selection of songs. It would be great if some of the 'old mob' would join us and teach us newbies some of the older songs though! Even if you don't know the songs you can come and join in with the mickey taking of Guest and clapping hands.

Come and join the Yeltzultras! ;-)
