Best Goal Ever??

Post by piearce9 » 26 Dec 2014, 18:10

I'm just going to put this out there- and everyone will have a view- but I'm struggling to recall a goal from my 20+ years of watching Halesowen that was more remarkable than Curtis's strike today. An unbelievable effort! I think we need it's own thread to marvel about it.

I'm going to need to be convinced he meant it........before I say it's the greatest Yeltz goal I've seen in 1078 competitive matches. The best part was watching old gold digger picking it out of the net!

Of all the Yeltz games I have been to over the years it has to be up there but not sure if it is the best - ask bro JohnC
I had a great view sat with the 6 finger brigade on the half way line -there reject keeper just does not cut the mustard for me ! Boy did I celebrate for them !

From the footage I've seen, I think he meant it.

How can he not have meant it? Memorable and fantastic. One of the best up along side Ben chip at Blyth.

Tilt is hardly renowned for his Beckham style half way lobs, let alone centre halves shooting from the half way line and meaning to score!
Thankfully it went in and we got the least we deserved from the game. Looking forward to the TV highlights, fair play to you Dan et al in that weather without any cover. Did you get the red card challenge?

Probably the best Yeltz goal for me, that said, Ben's goal at Blyth wasn't bad, neither was Tonksy's v Loughborough last season. Wasn't it pre season Tilty scored a cracker as well? We score some pretty good goals to be fair.

Does anybody remember Ben Haseley's half way line lob in our 5-0 win over Tipton? Today's goal and that goal is up there with the best I've seen from the yeltz, probably even the best I've ever seen by the yeltz.
