Dutch Refs from Deventer

It seems from what I can find there are only 2 levels of league football fed by feeder leagues from both Saturday and Sunday football, is this correct? Who decides whether a club becomes a Saturday or Sunday club, are they they same standard of football?

About the Dutch amateur competition You can chose as a club on Saturday or to play on sunday .
About Spakenburg from the video I sent , they are playing on level 3 in the Topklasse saturday.
I am a referee on this moment on level 4 Sunday hoofdklasse. I did referee level 3 2 years ago. Also a ref may choose on saturday or sunday competition.

I never thought to look on wikipedia. The information is very interesting. I should imagine as the non league is level 3 the standard would be very good. I wondered if the Sunday league was equal standard because our Sunday leagues are only really for pub teams and mates playing together. Thank you for your time.

Overhere in Holland we don't have pub teams. You can play football on saturday or sunday. You have got a first representing team By example my sons club "sv Colmschate "

playing on sunday . The first team is playing in the afternoon at 14.00 hrs. The 2,3,4,and 5 teams are playing at 10.00 in the morning. Yes , most of the players are coming out of the pub at that time :-) Some of them are still drunk.
If you are a saturday club all games are played on the saturday. This has a background. Most of this clubs do have a religious background . Most of their members have to go to church on sunday. We call it the clubs from the Bible -belt ! They go twice to church and on saturday they kick the sh*t out of you

Yes it is ! In level 3and 4 it is . Some say saturday is a stronger but I do not agree. Yes they do have more specs at some matches but I think that teh football is equally strong.

Interesting. Having so many junior sides all attached to 'genuine' professional teams, less talent is likely to be missed. This may start to explain why Holland consistently provide many of the worlds top players and always have a strong national team with only a relatively small population. A lot of our talent is probably never spotted at all despite the top sides having acadamies. I have always been aware of Ajax and other top sides having great youth set ups, but am amazed that lower league teams can afford so many teams also. Great information. Cheers.

You will come on the startpage. You will see the start page.
"Landelijk" means National nationwide competition in Holland divided in saturday or sunday
by example Topklasse en Hoofdklasse
Then it is divided in regional competition like Noord, Zuid 1 & 2 , West 1 & 2, and Oost.

When you click on these names you will see a map with all the clubs , zoom in and find your club.
Find my youngest sons club Colmschate '33 Go to East, sunday, click on 3B, you will see the League table, find Colmschate click on their name and everything will pop-up. Where the club is situated , their website etc. Hope you like it.. I do live in this neighbourhood as you can see on the map not far away from the pitch about 10 minutes by bike !!

That's a good website, but unfortunately my Dutch is on a par with my Swahili. Looking at the aerial pictures though I can understand why the rivalry at Spakenburg! I find it interesting how football 'works' in other countries, Italy is a particular favourite of mine. I do feel that Holland seems to lack the required lying, cheating and corruption though.

Update from my matches !!
Last sunday on the 7-12-14 I sent a player off for verbal abuse against me as a ref.
What do you think today ?? Another red card again for verbal insult towards me !!!
This player told me I was a " Dirty Nazi ! "
Showed him a red card and stopped the match for about 10 minutes. Let me explain why I did this. I feeled humiliated by this remark. I can tell you that my grand dad was killed in action as a Dutch soldier during the beginning of WW2 in Holland. I have never had the pleasure to know him. My mother was an orphan during the rest of her life. Every year when we remember WW 2 on the 4th of may We will remember him. He has a National Wargrave . Proud !!
What does give a football player aged 23 years the right to call me "Dirty Nazi" !
I have also decided to go to the Police and make an accusation for insult towards me !
Will keep you informed ! What do you think ? Am I doing the right or do you think it is part of the life as a referee ??

Sadly at all levels of British Soccer verbal abuse has become the norm,and often goes unpunished
a high profile recent case, was when a so called fan gave Nigel Pearson the soon to
be sacked Leicester City manager an earful.
When Pearson responded with a few Anglo-Saxon expletives,said fan put in a complaint.
I think you are right to go to the police to report the 23 year old player for comparing you
to a Nazi.
