John Morris

Has left the club, according to the Halesowen News.

Thanks John for all you've done in both spells at The Grove.

I wonder why he's gone? Maybe the travelling to scout teams and players was too much?

The clue is in the article.

Morris, who was at the club on a temporary basis, scouted the opposition and other players during his time and helped Hill settle into the Hales hot-seat when he first arrived

Temporary basis.

I and I am sure others thanked John last Saturday for his part in this season's success.

Always sits in front of me in the Harry Rudge Stand. Guy knows what he's talking about (well, most of the time) and a good bloke. Shame he's leaving.

Haha- I still don't think that explains why he left, John C!

Maybe naively, I didn't realise we sent people to scout out the other teams. Does everybody at this left do that sort of undercover espionage? Perhaps they could do some for the fans as well?

"Mushy peas and mint sauce in the cafe feature prominently and popular with the locals. No sign of Bovril."

"Goalkeeper doesn't take banter well. Prone to slice a goal kick on the earliest hint of a "WAAHEEYYYY""

"Good showing of real ales in the clubhouse. Tried all eight and passed out on the lawn". Etc.
