I think after yesterday's celebrations for the players and the management, and what a fantastic achievement it was by them, a little bit of credit should go to the likes of Guy Cooper, Zee Zee, Johnny bud etc for saving this brilliant and now well run again football club of ours for of which yesterday just wouldn't have happened. The club was on its knees when we were watching football from over the wall and having more supporters outside the ground than inside it. A lot of credit should also go to the likes of Derby John, Terry Reid etc for saving the social club side of it too. Thankyou for all of your hard work, 140 odd years of history still remain and may it long live and reign for many more years. Thank god AFC Halesowen is long and far gone. Thankyou all.

There were many people involved in the battles to rid the club of those that sought to kill it, I would also like to thank all those involved in what developed from 'The Lighthouse Family', this league championship is as much for them as anyone.

Any club at our level is always just around the corner from the next potential problem and it is vital that an organised independant supporters body exists to support the club through any troubles, with club, sponsors and supporters working alongside each other it helps prevent the need for battles.

The turnround in the fortunes of HTFC to bring it back to the level we were at before the intervention of the 3 idiots has been amazing, many people have played varying parts and therefore are responsible for that turnround and everyone connected with the club can feel rightly proud.

I did not personally delete the post, but I wholehearted agree that it was the correct thing to do - as did two other mods in our offline discussion. The reason is probably better explained by Zeezee’s replacement post.

Over the last 5 years we have stared into the abyss on more than one occasion and turned things round. This has been down to many parties and has been through several phases; the crisis phases when the Trust took the lead, the start of the recovery when Steve Lynch was able to wrest the club back and latter phases with the very welcome support of The Big Pet Store. Many others have also stepped forward at various times – if we were to call out everybody by name it would be a long list.

At a time when we should all be enjoying our success a club, I don’t feel it is a time to be partisan. The people who have done their share know who they are and will have been reflecting with pride on what has happened over the last few years and their part in making it happen.

I agree completely that there are many people to thank. I agree also that now is a time for celebration. I do not agree that a person wishing to single out one individual to thank is something that warrants it being removed. My post thanking mike Burke is no different to Ricardo thanking the yeltz trust.
I think we should leave it there.
