Can't remember songs but didn't he used to shout 'We can beat these people Halesowen'. Assuming a bloke called Martin was the ginger wheelie bin. Henry was the other of that crew who may also have shouted that.
it was indeed TBGWB who shouted that.

Another one of his was upon witnessing a foul against us was 'ANIMAL!!' in a vey high pitched girly voice ::)

Oh, I do miss him :(

Whatever happened to all those characters from the 90s?

I know we all grow up / get chained to a womans say so, but i haven't seen most of those since pre 2000, and they used to go just about everywhere to watch us. Kids these days will never know what they missed ::)

Precious times :) :) :)

A George awaits Scouse if he can pr0duce the lyrics.........
Was that the song that ended "We're crap away, we're crap away, we're crap away"? Can't remember the rest though.

C'mon Scouse, need to know now!
Think i'm missing the 3rd verse (and the last line doesn't seem right) but penned after a dismal away run.

Ohh the Halesowen stage is a rollin on over the plains
With the defence flapping and Snappa holding the reigns
A beautiful day - the Yeltz are away
Ohh, we're crap away we're crap away we're crap away

Ohh the Halesowen stage is a rollin on over the hill
More matches like this and I think I'm gonna be ill
A beautiful day - the Yeltz are away
Ohh we're crap away we're crap away we're crap away

We'll be home tonight by the light of the silvery moon
drowning our sorrows sitting in waggons back room.
We love the Yeltz, and we'll watch you play
Yeltz boys away Yeltz boys away Yeltz boys away

The produce of a Friday afternoon at work after 'several' pints in the Ivy Bush on the Hagley Road at lunch time. Unveiled in the Newt & Cucumber prior to a train journey to Tawmworth (???). Think we sang it once in full, and half way through the second rendition we scored, and went on to win the game !!!

This is turning into the best thread ever. ;D
Remember one of the fancy dress days at Dorchester, we spent the entire second half from first whistle to last chanting "Stuart Halls Barmy Army" in 2 seperate groups without a single break. Beer was much needed at the end!

I am not one for singing at football but did we not used to sing a version of the 1960s song you were made for me? I'm sure someone like LLL would know the original!

I'm sure we had a song in the 80's or 90's about our good friends from Tamworth. It was something about what a wonderful, welcoming, hospitable place it was. How they were articulate, and full of joyful banter, how they were born of good looks and with opposing thumbs, how we relished our every opportunity to visit.....

The original was by Freddie and The Dreamers from (I believe) the '60's.

The lead singer, Freddie Garretty, played a few games for Bedworth reserves and later went on to work on the bins in Coventry. Though he's probably retired now.

I guessed that this would prod you out of your sloth.

When we sang the Twelve Days the following year, Snapper was out injured.

So it was "Five ????"
