Haha, I remember the Genitals out one. I think John C started that one (without realising)!

All this talk of old chants brings back some memories of when I first started coming down the Grove in the 90s. This might be one for YeltzDoc, but do you remember the guy who used to stand at the back of the Shed in a leather jacket. His classic shout was "What's the matter? Too hot?!" and he also used to sing Land of Hope and Glory on his own. I used to idolise him- anyone remember him? Man, I'd love to get him back.

Hello Mr piearce - the man you are referring to was known as scrap iron mark - he was a scrap metal dealer in I think brierley hill, I don't know or can't remember his surname, and I don't know what happened to him either but if anyone does...........

Hopefully, it'll be sung at the home game against Loughborough Dynamo as I'm bringing a friend to his first Halesowen game and I've mentioned this chant to him!

This sounds like a good idea!

"Oh Halesowen, is wonderful! Oh Halesowen is wonderful. Its full of chip, curry and Yeltzmen. Oh Halesowen is wonderful!"

A page set up in the honour/memory of Steve Clayton would be full of songs.

God Strike. "Scrap Iron" Mark. I haven't thought of him for about 20 years. Certainly a "character"...

The finest ever (almost) was adapted by Brother Scouse from a musical - 'The Halesowen Stage', a version of 'The Deadwood Stage' from a Doris Day (not the Gater) film. Circa 1995.

Precious times :) :) :)

A George awaits Scouse if he can pr0duce the lyrics.........

Can't remember songs but didn't he used to shout 'We can beat these people Halesowen'. Assuming a bloke called Martin was the ginger wheelie bin. Henry was the other of that crew who may also have shouted that.
