Where will we finish?

Post by CRH Yeltz » 09 Mar 2014, 07:58

After a bit of thought, this is how I see the run in panning out for us:

Gresley A - Draw
Newcastle H - Win
Market Drayton A - Win
Scarborough H - Draw
Sheffield A - Win
Mickleover A - Draw
Loughborough H - Win
Carlton A - Draw
Belper A - Lose (Bogey team alert!)

So 16 more points from the 27 remaining which gives 83 before the 3 against Eastwood come off. The amount of predicted draws might surprise seeing as we've had so few up to now. So based on this I think 2nd or 3rd is looking likely as I still think Coalville won't make the same mistake twice.

As to the playoffs, lottery time but if we're at home we've got a real chance of doing it.

What does everyone else think?

think its coalvilles to lose now. we need to get as many points on the board as possible to ensure home advantage in the playoffs. i remenber the playoff game against chippenham with over a thousand gate. that would be great if we got two playoff games at the grove. that said i'd much rather coalville slip up and we win the league. its been a great season so far and its going to be a great finish.

I felt before yesterday's game that the team would ease off after the pressure of the last 2 games. Belper's size and physical game was the main difference. We played well and won't be caught out by their size next time.
I think this was just a blip and whilst automatic promotion may be out of our hands , runners up spot is mire than achievable. 2 extra games at home and the financial attraction for the club will do Me. Bring it on.

Coalville are favourites, and it's their title to lose. That's not to say I've given up though, we are capable of winning every remaining game, especially if we can add a couple of players to strengthen the squad

in relation to this point does anyone know when the transfer deadline for the league is I'd imagine it might be quite soon.

In the play offs I reckon.

As a newbie to this League, where is the play off final usually held?
