Found a very nice YouTube movie about German footballfans. I want to tell you why I found nice . In this German Schalke 04 stadium I was once about 15 years ago when we have went to Germany to referee a match in the German Oberliga Nordrhein Westfalen.
The German came to Holland to blow the whistle and otherwise. This experiment did only last for 1 year and did't not succeeded. I don't know why exactly .
I couldn't really get used to the Deutsche Punktlichkeit.....
But anyway in 1998 there was a grass pitch in this old stadium but mow it is artificial i see !
But the fans were the same , a little bit older i guess nowadays
I was there as a lines man and i had the same view as you can see on the video, still can remember this match and you can imagine why !! Jawohl !!! Zum wohl !!

Breaking news from Deventer. Our goalie from Go Ahead Eagles named Eloy Room who was on loan from Vitesse Arnhem also known by their nickname Chelsea 2 , was called back to his own club because they had just one keeper left .
It was written in the contract. S he went to Arnhem on monday and we didn't have a keeper anymore.
Yesterday they have contracted the Danish goalie Stephan Andersen who was now playing for Betis Sevilla Spain He is not in the first team anymore and he wants to play every weekend to be elected for the Danish team and to go to Brazil later this year.

The rest of this season he is on loan in Deventer . Found a video about him :

This afternoon I will go to the south of Holland to a place called Nuenen nearby the city of Eindhoven about 1& 1/2 hour driving. A short impression of the pitch you can see on the following vid on http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b2g2TgJr-Xc
when they did play a friendly v PSV.
I don't think there will be so much supporters today on their ground but I will let you know ..

Hi , again postponed due the pitch in England. My game was going on and it was a very nice match in the south of Holland near Eindhoven. Endscore 1-2 and 3 bookings.

Hello everyone at Halesowen.
Yesterday was another nice game again. I have enclosed a pic of the assistant trainer of the away club where I was refereeing yesterday . Do you recognize him ? Played for Everton , Ajax , Inter Milan and the Dutch National Team ! Earned millions , lost millions pounds during his carreer. But now he is assistant trainer at a nice footballclub.

Have had a very nice friendly last tuesdaynight on a very good 4G pitch. Our local Premier Division team Go Ahead Eagles v FC RDC ( local Amateur) played a friendly 0-11 score ! I'm on the left during the line up and shaking hands . No bookings

There has been a lot of criticism on here of 3G pitches after we played two matches on them recently. What's your opinion? Also do you think there is much difference between 4g and 3G?

Hi Noggin,
I know there is a lot of criticism . It was also in Holland a few years ago. First off all I personally think that full Professional footy always must be played on grass.
But for amateur Non League football I think their should be more 3 g pitches. As you can see above in my district Oost (east ) there are 472 sports grounds with 438 3g pitches .Almost every ground does have an 3g pitch.This means football every weekend , no postponements anymore, clubhouse ( pub) fully loaded etc.
Ofcourse you have to get used to this pitches but when you get used to it it is nice to play on it .

When you have the newest 4g pitches it is like real grass. We have to look in the future . Our youth teams are growing up with 4g pitches and we have to offer them on saturday a place to play football competition. It is better to have them on a sportsground then hanging around in the streets doing nothing !
