Romulus Twitter

Post by yeltz85 » 09 Dec 2013, 15:00

Has to laugh at the comment on the Romulus Twitter account when I was looking earlier. They are saying that other teams have an unfair advantage over themselves and Sutton when playing on grass...

Sort of implies that everyone should have a 3G pitch.

I personally am not looking forwards to the next two games especially tonight, never felt like a proper football game when we played there last year. Especially under floodlights when it was wet, you couldn't see a thing! People say there is no difference between grass and 3G but I beg to differ.

From what I saw of them at the Grove, I don't think the advantage the opposition get is anything to do with the playing surface...

We have the players to beat them irrespective of the surface, we have nothing to fear. Good players will adapt to whatever obstacle is put in front of them. I think their tweet was clearly a little tongue in cheek, but it would be nice to go there tonight and beat them.

Perhaps our very own YELTZ BARD, brother Avery if he can spare the time
to put something in rhyme
or maybe in verse
to say how adverse
and whats the hitch
about having to play
on a plastic pitch
To lose at Coles Lane
is no great shame
but press the button
Cause here we come Sutton.

Sorry but you 've got me at it now Andy.

Unfortunately i do not have the stature to award Georges, if i did i would have done so. I hope though, these 'EVRONS' will convey my appreciation of your Bardlike qualities. ImageImageImage
