Minutes Applause

Post by Simons » 07 Dec 2013, 17:10

Why was there no minutes applause in honour of Nelson Mandela before todays game. I quote from the league website "a minute’s applause is taking place at fixtures across the Evo-Stik Northern Premier League on Saturday."

Keep political figures out of sport - you know it makes sense. Besides, the BBC, ITV and Sky are doing enough to make us all aware of his death. ::)

When I saw it on match of the day etc I assumed the ref forgot as he did kick off a minute early.

Agree Mandeler had nothing to do with Halesowen Town FC or Lincoln United.

I don't think it was necessary.
